G4F PROD is the first French “100% VR Ready” post-production structure, with the integration of new tools and workflows specific to audio post-production in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) projects.
Whether interactive (VR Apps) or linear (360° Relief Videos), G4F PROD has workflows specifically developed for these productions.
All of the group's auditoriums have real-time previews on the Oculus and HTC Vive with a 360 video player. The sound editing and mixing tools also allow instant switching between binaural downmixing on headphones and listening in a multichannel environment of the different auditoriums (object-oriented mixing).
The studio has a comprehensive range of headsets: HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Samsung VR, Sony Playstation VR, Google Daydream. A green screen studio equipped with the HTC Vive has also been set up for testing and producing promotional content dedicated to VR.
The recognized expertise of the G4F PROD studio in sound integration in video games, with almost ten years of existence and several hundred projects delivered on all platforms on the market, makes it an undisputed leader in new interactive media. It was important for the group to take the video turn by integrating all 360° editing and mixing solutions into linear. The workflows have been functional for a year now, and the first productions are starting to come out, such as the film on Diego Velazquez's Las Meninas, produced by Poissons Volants which has already won an award (1).

It was important for us not to be satisfied with our know-how in real-time sound spatialization on interactive applications or simulators. We also had to integrate 360 video to be able to process all the workflows of these new markets that are developing rapidly. We have also had the chance to work on several industrial projects in augmented reality with Microsoft's Hololens, we feel that this is the beginning of a new era, the applications will be numerous. It is an exciting period technologically speaking, everything remains to be done, and new tools are abundant!"
